About us and the LCY project
Hello, dear friend! My name is Sergey, I am from Ukraine, I work as a web developer, and I have a family—my beloved wife and daughter.
Like many of us, I have a great desire to do something valuable and useful for people. That is why I decided to try to apply the little experience I have gained at work and created the LCY project – Learn to control yourself.
In my life, I have learned an important lesson – if you want to share something with others, share what you yourself are really interested in. I have many bad habits, and my lifestyle is far from ideal, so I thought a lot and searched for ways to change myself, my way of thinking, my ideas, my behavior, and my lifestyle.
Before you can rule the world, learn to control yourself. As I understand it, the basis of any path—to happiness, success, family well-being, etc.—is learning to control yourself. This is the foundation from which everything begins.
The goal of this project is not to teach anyone, but to explore together the path of how to change yourself, change your ideas, your lifestyle, how to become the best version of yourself.
I had and still have many different ideas about what I want to do in this project. I tried different things: creating a forum, separate groups, a personal account, etc. Many of these things have not worked out yet, and I can try them later, but many are probably just not the best idea. Therefore, I will most likely remove the forum, groups, and personal account from the site.
On the other hand, I liked the idea of collecting quotes from famous people. While working, I naturally reread them many times, and each time they made me think a lot, gave me new ideas, understanding, and determination. Studying them, I saw that there are common points in the thoughts and ideas of famous and great people of the past and present, and this is a lesson and historical wisdom that I can learn from. After all, I am essentially the same, and my soul wants the same things as these people. Therefore, I think that they can help you in some way. But I also realized that it is important not only to repeat the phrases of successful people, but also to share my thoughts, experiences, and insights. Therefore, at the moment, I am continuing to develop the “quotes from successful people” section and maintain my blog.
I am also trying to use various social networks to find like-minded people, and I am trying to develop the LCY project on more than 10 social networks :). If you want to subscribe, you don’t have to subscribe to all 10 at once. At least at first, I don’t plan to create completely unique content for each social network, as it would take a huge amount of time. I will simply try to bring my project to as many people as possible through various social networks.
One of my special ideas is a program I called “Oracle” — its essence is that you can choose one of the categories that interests you, and the system randomly generates a phrase on this topic for you. This idea is based on the fact that many people who believe in God, higher powers, spirits, higher intelligence, etc. sometimes want to know what the universe wants to tell them and either open a book at a random page or throw dice, etc. I myself have done something similar — I would receive a phrase or message like this, and then spend the day thinking about it: What does it mean? How does it relate to my life? etc. Don’t mindlessly click 10-20 times in a row, because then you lose the whole point. It’s best to take 1-2 phrases and think about them throughout the day. I myself have practiced this approach for many years and have seen that in this way you learn to pay attention and notice what Life or the Universe wants to tell you.
