I understood that in order to truly become a clerk and, most importantly, remain one, I needed to perform my duties well. That way, I could prove that I was worthy of being appointed and retained as a clerk.
So I immediately decided to start with training. I had two whole days of free time, so I decided to devote them to learning what office work is.
First, I read a short document that gave a general overview of what office work is. This helped me a lot, and I began to understand the basics of office work. Then I started looking for a more serious resource. And I found it. It was a fairly large document with many pages — Instructions for Office Work in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
I studied it all Saturday and Sunday. And although I couldn’t remember and understand everything, the more I read it, the more I understood what record keeping is, why it is needed, and what principles it is based on.
It helped me to clear my head of everything else (work, household chores) and focus entirely on studying the document.
