Mobilization: my journey from civilian to serviceman – June 25, 2024 Tuesday, day nineteen

It seems like the last part of the VLC origin is left, but it keeps getting postponed. So I’m just waiting at the base. During this time, I am doing such useful things as whitewashing curbs, transporting sand, and cleaning 🙂 .

Today, unfortunately, I heard the reality about our mobilization directly from the mouth of the “victim.” Alexander regularly drove to work. And yesterday, a TCC employee approached him and asked for his documents. Alexander did not have his military documents, and the TCC employee asked him to go to the office for half an hour to clarify the details. For half an hour…

Right at the TCC, they began to process Alexander. There were 12 other victims who were asked to come in for half an hour. Alexander had his passport, and that was enough. And indeed, what else is needed for full mobilization 🙂 On the same day, Alexander began to undergo a medical examination. For the convenience and comfort of visitors, the entire commission, i.e., all the doctors, were in one building. This is truly the pinnacle of UX/UI design! Moreover, the comfort did not end there. When Alexander entered the doctor’s office, the doctor simply asked Alexander, “Do you have any questions for me?” And if Alexander had no questions for the doctor, he was automatically deemed fit and moved on to the next doctor. In my opinion, this was simply the pinnacle of customer focus. Leading marketing schools will probably spend years studying this system, which is genius in its simplicity.

But Alexander did not lose his composure. He chose a truly ingenious strategy (and this time, I’m not joking). He started smiling. He smiled so much that his cheeks hurt. In addition, he said that everything was fine, that he was satisfied with everything, and that everything was good. The TCC employees were simply shocked. Most of them admitted that this was the first time they had seen a person who had ended up in the TCC, was undergoing a medical examination, and was smiling at the same time! Alexander also took a test, which had quite a few questions, some of which were normal, and some of which were quite difficult and unpleasant, something about life and death. After that, Alexander asked if they could let him go for one day. And a miracle happened—they let him go and told him to come back the next morning. It was truly a miracle, because Alexander was the only one of 12 people who was released.

After that, Alexander contacted Vika. That’s how he ended up at our base.
