After taking a psychological test and submitting all the other documents, I was sent home. No one told me exactly how much time I had or when I would be sent away. Vika said it might be a week.

I’ve been sitting at home for over a week now. I am very, very grateful that my departure for training has been postponed, because Ukraine is currently experiencing an abnormal heat wave. It’s hard for me to imagine how, with my health, I would be able to dig trenches at the training camp at full capacity.

I discovered the social network Reddit and was very happy about it. I was shocked and impressed that there are still people in this world who read.

I generally like to philosophize and express my opinion, to write something interesting. But when you post content on other social networks, you are reminded of Greek mythology. It is said that the gods created a huge, dark, bottomless pit into which they threw the Titans. And when you post on Facebook or a similar social network, it feels like your post is falling into that dark and bottomless pit. You throw it in, and it instantly dissolves into this black hole.

But here, not only do people READ your post, they also write their opinions! They ask you questions! For me, this was complete nonsense. From that moment on, I fell in love with Reddit. I saw that this was a place where people weren’t chasing some mind-blowing sensations, but were primarily looking for human, real-life, and honest content. Just everything I love :).

I stumbled upon a lively community of Ukrainians. I asked if anyone would be interested in the information I share on my blog and received many positive comments. This inspired me greatly! Today, Reddit has become my favorite social network.

Of course, it’s hard to sit around with your bags packed, knowing that you could get a call at any moment. That’s why you can only take on short-term projects and tasks while you wait to be called up for training.
